Ted, the other founding member of the band, has seen his role change drastically since the bands’ inception.

While he first got behind the drums at seven, he started off as one of two bassists in Algernon. After the initial

lineup dissolved, he moved to drums and has been playing them with an inner fury ever since.

Influenced by drummers like Lars Ulrich, John Bonham, and Danny Carey, Ted taught himself to play and has created a unique style. He plays in a way that can only be described as intuitive, a grounding force of nature for this band. He describes his style as “a lot different from everyone else and I like it that way, it’s gonna evolving in polish and intensity as time goes on.”

His quiet and unobtrusive demeanor is in deep contrast to his wildly aggressive playing onstage, and he continues to become more involved in the band beyond just being the drummer and the “muscle”.  Recently, he is working with Phil to organize gigs, photo shoots, and recordings, as their popularity increases and requests for gigs mount. He has also become more involved in songwriting, including the lyrics for “Broken Days”.
