ROY JACKSON

Bassist

With Ted’s switch to drums, Roy filled the void as bassist in early 2009. After playing upright bass in middle school, he switched to electric and has been playing for six years. Even though his formal training consists of only a few bass lessons, he has taught himself to play by studying bassists like Cliff Burton, Flea, and Les Claypool. Able to switch between slapping and popping, finger picking, and chords (sometimes all in the same song), Roy demonstrates a playing ability as versatile and dynamic as the band itself. Off stage, Roy helps with merchandizing and advertising is studying business and music theory to improve his skills. Contributing his individual style and personality to the band’s evolution.
