Algernon mixes classic rock, grunge, punk, operatic metal, and prog metal, to create a jagged, blended sound at their tempestuous and unique performances. Their emotionally charged and powerfully organic stage shows have elevated them as one of the more intense bands in the Southeast Michigan underground music scene.
Experience Phil’s extensive, visceral soloing, Roy’s brontosaurus strut and bowel-shaking bass, and Jurado’s permutated and spastic rhythms. Fronting the band, the enigma who is Lee Renaud explodes with a voice envied by Thor himself.
